“We’re confident that our budget scenario holds water and there won’t be service cuts, but we have to wait to see (the amount provided by the ARTM),” said STM CEO Marie-Claude Léonard. However, it was unveiled by the city on Wednesday that it boosted its ARTM contribution by $48.3 million, or four per cent, in order to help make up part of the structural deficit.
The STM’s budget is based on assumptions made from the ARTM’s annual budget, which is only being deposited next week.
